. . . know that it can be, well, let's just say problematic, not to even mention ethically questionable.

This guy behind these films, Matt Walsh, is a guitarist, singer, songwriter, actor, and film maker. This past weekend I stood and watched his band finish their set before my band followed his at the big Bourbon Street Alley blowout in Hickory North Carolina. Matt and I exchanged a few words on the virtues of Squier Classic Vibe guitars during the hectic equipment changeover, and the next day I ran into him again and we spoke briefly. In addition to being able to play the old school blues like nobody's business (rumor has it he's shared the stage and jammed with Hubert Sumlin), Matt also strikes me as an eccentric crazy genius type person.

And some of Matt's music:

I would love to jam with this guy, be in one of his videos as a character, or whatever. I so dig what he does. I'm sure I'll cross paths with him again, as we play overlapping circuits in this area of North Carolina.

That would be a fun collaboration, i was an extra once in a movie when i was the gaffer on the film crew.
The only thing i can offer is a title for the possible endeavor, the easy part the title .

Ha ha, so true.

But let me ask you this, as I know you're a native of NC: Have you known people like these characters he's doing? After living here for ten years I feel like I really "get it," ya know, like I've encountered people sorta like that and who match those caricatures pretty well. I guess you could call what he's doing regional humor.

My Wife is going to start slapping me if I don't stop walking around the house saying, "I'm Buddy Hardwood, I'm the werewolf king! Werewolf puppies!"

I haven't watched more than a few minutes of it so far, but what I saw was well done and funny.
