Which Sports Team Mascot Do You Look Like?

This past weekend I had gigs on Friday and Saturday night. I’ve gotten used to people approaching me between sets and after the show and asking questions about my beard. "How long did it take to grow that?” "Isn't that hot?" "Is that real?" This one really gets me: “I’ll bet you’ve got no hair under that hat.”
But I was really thrown for a loop by this young guy who came up to me after the show on Saturday night and said everyone was talking about me and saying that I looked just like “Yosef." Not being a follower of collegiate football, I had no idea what he was talking about. But I soon learned that Yosef the Mountaineer is the mascot for the Appalachian State Mountaineers football team. I've gotta admit, I kinda do look like him with my hat, hair, beard, and boots.
It occurred to me that I could really run with this, maybe start a band and call it “Yosef’s Blue Ridge Blues Band,” or something like that. People have spun careers off of much sillier ideas.
So any of you guys ever been told you look like a sports team mascot?

No but I was told a couple of times many years back that I looked like the head coach of the Ottawa Senators at the time (95-96)....
I was wearing glasses and had red hair, but the resemblance ends there.

The scantily clad ones waving colorful pompoms on the sidelines always gets my attention.

Hehe. App State played us (VT/Hokies) back in 2011. I remember that guy. Didn't know his name was Yosef...
You're a dead ringer for him for sure!
Can't say I've ever been accused of looking like a mascot, but I may on a few occasions have been guilty of chowing down on ours...

Had a friend nick name me Mrs Beasley from the stupid doll on Family affair.
It was so stupid and it made me laugh so much I couldn't punch very hard.
I do have sort of blond hair glasses and blue eyes but wtf?
Twice I was told I looked like Rob Lowe but when I tell my wife it makes her crack up.
Sometimes my boss calls me fluffy.

Thanks so much. I've got to put some more of my original music on there. Been almost entirely preoccupied with the band and the other major drama going on here, but if and when when things calm down I'll be feeling more creative.

Whether intentional or not, you look like John Petrucci. And Yosef.toomanycats wrote: ↑Mon Aug 17, 2020 12:42 pm

Yeah...I was on the Rick Rubin train before, but definitely Petrucci.
If he "finds" a EBMM Petrucci or Majesty at the pawn shop for $70, we'll know something is up.
