Leo Fender's synchronized tremolo is a severely flawed design, and the only reason people defend it is, basically, a religious belief that electric guitar design achieved perfection in 1959 and it's been all downhill since then. The bridge plate is supposed to pivot around a shallow angle where the bridge plate contacts the wood, while scraping up and down six wood screws? No wonder everybody spent the next 50 years coming up with better designs.

When creating music, there is no flawed designs.

Les Paul style guitars are obnoxiously heavy and uncomfortable to play both sitting and standing. The SG is the superior design when played sitting or standing paired with a non-slip strap.

Gibson Les Pauls are my favorite guitars. I like the knockoffs too, but a real, Made in USA Gibson LP is the only true Les Paul around IMHO.

John Bonham is overrated.

I can't stand Led Zeppelin and their stealing of other peoples songs and their fans defend it.

I dunno about that.

Rap music is popular because the beat often approximates the cadence of the gunshots the local populace is used to hearing.

7,8,9 string guitars MUST be better because more is more better.

People who use down tunings should just take up the bass or baritone instead. (Seriously, we already had lower-tuned instruments: they're called baritone guitars. Why do people insist on taking a regular guitar and tuning it to low F or some such nonsense?)

In this day of great gear at affordable prices it is my opinion that buying big name brands like Gibson Fender PRS Core and so on is nuts. The prices are way to high for what you get so it's paying out the A$$ for the name on the Headstock. My SX Strat with a few mods is as good if not better than a USA Fender and I still have less than $250 in it. My $550 Agile AL3200 with no mods it didn't need any is a much better guitar than my Gibson LP Studio. My acoustics are a Yamaha FG-TA and a D'Angelico only set me back about $1100 for both of them new and they're great guitars.
I may not have fancy logo's on my Headstocks but I do have 18 really good guitars I could easily afford with money left in my wallet

Humbuckers were an attempt to sound like P90s without the 60 cycle hum. They failed to sound like P90s. I prefer P90s despite their noise.

Seriously, mine is that the big guitar solo at a concert should max out at 5 minutes, if that. The singer gan get "serviced" after the damn show, and you could have played another two of your hits in that amount of time.

I think that most solid state amps are just fine for what 99% of players use them for.
