Yep, he's doing right handed hammer ons.
What he is NOT doing is tapping. People largely misunderstand that.
Right handed hammer on = exactly as it sounds. It's like hammering on with your left hand, just with your right instead.
Tapping = quickly tapping the string directly against the /fret/ itself and immediately letting go, so that you get a harmonic.
