That statue has been through more shit...

I can't find it, but there's a pic floating around of the monument devoted to the man who wrote "Texas Flood" standing waist deep in one. Lake Travis comes up to his toes at least once every spring. The irony...

A public depantsing and spanking to the ones that had the nerve to deface a statue of one of the greatest guitarist in our history. He paid deep respect to black blues players that paved the way and taught us all how to play and appreciate what they gave us all. A pox on the disrespectful jerks.

Side note, there are very few events that I distinctly remember where I was when I heard the news. The passing of SRV is one of them. I had walked out on my parents porch to see why my brother, who had left for work about five minutes prior, was coming up the driveway. He got out and broke the news that he just heard it on the radio.
