Today I saw a listing on Reverb that took me by surprise. It's a guitar I returned about 10 weeks ago because of an undisclosed cracked and badly repaired neck joint. Apparently the seller didn't get it back, Reverb is trying to sell it themselves now. The crack was bad enough that I'm pretty sure it imparted a tuning stability problem I couldn't live with. Reverb disclosed the crack, but downplayed it, calling it hairline. Although they show the obvious (and sloppy) repair attempt, they're treating it like normal wear. I think before the Etsy buyout, they were more honest. They listed it for more than I paid, but with free shipping so it's a wash. That was before I learned about the damage. Reverb seems to have lost the trem arm too. So I guess I won't be considering guitars from "Reverb's Garage Sale" in the future. Sad.
