Sadly the blues great has passed away

I saw him in a small hole in the wall club outside of Wwilmington DE in 1979. He was nice enough to chat with me between sets as a 21 year old. I had lots of questions about playing electric blues guitar and he was more than willing to entertain them. Nice guy

Mayall was an underrated musician and talent magnet. Many major bands who's late 60's and 70's mojo started in his Petrie dish of a band.

'A Hard Road' and 'Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton' are mandatory for any guitar player.
