Visiting cousins in CT, we finally got to visit the Mark Twain House in Hartford, and learn more about Samuel Clemens' life story!
First, the place has fabulous interior and exterior details. Craftsmanship was a thing back then... if you had the money!
Then the life story of the man and family. The semi-exile in Europe is strange, considering the man was the best-known American around the world, at one point.
Quite a day.
As a near-virgin Mark Twain works, i have a lot of reading to do!

The other farm cats didn’t super love him but the chickens thought he was alright so he became a chicken.
