They countered this time, asking for about 3% more, but I saw no more negotiating room left so I politely declined it. As a direct result, my main TV immediately died. Apparently that money insists on being spent so I was unexpectedly up very late shopping TVs. Next week I'll get that TV and will think of it as replacing a guitar, but it will actually be a wall hanger.
