I'm no expert, but I'm hoping they account for all the weird things light does on curved surfaces.

Interesting. Everything I know about acoustics, a sphere would be a frequency phase nightmare. i wonder how they are going to make it work?

Exactly what i was thinking: post Scorpions Michael Schenker Group.
Both of those things popped into my head at the same time when I read the title.... I imagined a sphere made of monosodium glutamate where the Michael Schenker Group would play a concert.
Madison Square Garden also crossed my mind as well.
