I appreciate what she accomplished artistically, and her brother was a genius, but . . .
I wonder how Twitter would have handled old George..ha ha ha
Just wanted to say, please don't think me completely heartless or unfeeling towards Karen and her life travails. "There go I but for the grace of God."
However, Carlin is hitting upon something serious here. He was really a great satirist and philosopher using comedy as the medium to deliver his diagnosis of an underlying sick society.
RIP Karen, a very talented woman, a victim in many ways.

I didnt hear any mention of the pressures in many strata of society for women to be ashamed of not having a svelte figure. The constant feeling of being judged as lacking, before one even opens their mouth, before one even completes a task, is known to drive many women into the state of such neurotic reaction. Our society is sick, perhaps since the start. Some of us probably left "the trees" just to get away from the rest. I'm as guilty as the next male.... unless the next male happens to be George Carlin.
I gotta comedic line to share: "George died because he had a shitty heart. F-him. Shoulda exercised and run more than just his mouth".
wow,..I had no idea she was such a great drummer. Thanks.

Wasn't Karen's death what caused the medical professions to accept eating disorders as a legit ailment?
Hard to believe that it has been nearly 40 years since she died.
