Very cool story indeed. Somewhat reminiscent of the Peter Frampton story. Also pretty amazing that the guy who found it did so via the internet in less than 2 weeks.

Been following the story on his Facebook Page. Hard to believe neither the Guess Who or BTO are in the Rock N Roll Hall Of Shame...... especially considering the list of recent inductees.

Pretty cool to see that!

I just learned that Jimmy Page got his 1960 LP 3-pup Custom Black Beauty back in 2020. It wasn't widely communicated. It was stolen in the Minneapolis airport in 1970. Someone was performing maintenance on it and noticed the room for two extra toggles had been repaired. He told the owner (a subsequent owner after the theft) that it was Jimmy Page's and they contacted him. Jimmy traded a 1959 Black Beauty for it.

Maybe someday Eric Clapton will get his back!

We don't know what the guitar's feelings are about the reunion.

Maybe she had moved on? ;)

That is cool. When I was a kid, I had no idea RB was in the Guess Who but I liked them and BTO. I also didn't realize American Woman was written by a Canadian, but that's ok too.

That would be nice. There is a winder who says he created a device that can scan pickup components with out needing dissection.
He can see the wind patterns. Get readings, detect alnico alloys...thats what I read. Cant remember his name.
And then there was the Beano mic placements, so I've read.
Love the guitar on that album.

How about the 1959 Les Paul Standard that Michael Bloomfield got from Dan Erlewine, and which was subsequently lost in a club in Canada in 1974. Has that one ever turned up?

Now that you mention it - that’s crazy wrong! They were cranking out hits from day one - which is a pretty good excuse for me to add this link.

These stories are nice to hear. I have a friend that loaned his fav ash peavey (T60?) To a friend when he was crippled and feeling down and i a wheel chair. He wanted to give him a new hobby. He said if he practiced hed buy him one. Instead they lost track and the guy sold it or gave it away. 15 years later he fugures something out tracks it through owners and buys it from.a pawn shop. He also had a distinctive knot in the grain.

I know I still hope my old Ibanez RG410 is still out there, being lovingly abused the same way I treated it.

Coming up on 20 years gone now.

Here are the Guess Who joining a fellow who helped their retirement fund.
