This was a fun gig with some of the horn players from my sons hs jazz band including my other sons girlfriend plus a bone player friend of the singers. My first time arranging parts for a horn section. They were in the friggin jazz band and read music. How the hell they needed me to arrange idk?

Halloween gig It was hot so I went as a stereotypical dad in tevas, hawaiian shirt and cargo shorts. I think it was an irony backfire.
Harley davidson gig. One of my first times singing. ughh Get your motor runnin.
HOB benefit with horn section from my kids hs jazz band and an adult we brought in to help arrange but inexplicably me with no musical training ended up arranging all the horn parts. {shrug}
A cool gig at a free street fair with the kids.

My dad's band in 1936, before he switched to 4-string tuned like top 4 of a regular 6-string …

Until the coronavirus hit, I was playing a regular once-a-month jazz gig at our First Friday Art Walk.
The tenor player/leader's name is Rex, so the band quickly became known as The Rex Pistols!

Haha! Good one! There was a rock club in Massachusetts that my band played far too may times (mostly "exposure gigs" lined up by our worthless agent) called: "Edible Rex". I don't know why they thought that would be a clever name for a rock club, but it would make a better name for a jazz combo IMO.
Or a restaurant.
