Something new from Willie, at least I'd never heard it before.

Thanks Mickey. Not my birthday soon, but a beautiful song, and true.
"The man that hath no music in himself, nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds, is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils. The motions of his spirit are dull as night, and his affections dark as Erebus. Let no such man be trusted."

Great tune. Coincidentally, I have been working on a song with the same theme about my maternal grandfather.

Neat song. Only for old people to sing to old people.
Would be interesting to ever hear a youth singing it to other youth or olders.

Thanks Mickey. I just turned 74 a couple of months ago and Willie hits it right on the head. :)

When you are in this age group, do you find that, sometimes, say, at a social gathering, you interface with younger folks, and are about to comment on something, but stop, thinking your audience might just take you for some old fool?

I do, even though I hope I am the good kind of old fool!
The other farm cats didn’t super love him but the chickens thought he was alright so he became a chicken.

About the only young folks I seem to interact with these days are the ones who ask:
"Would you like fries with that?"

I've got my 70th birthday coming July 12th and I'd say that just about sums it up.
