It was still a total shock to me when I heard. 99 is impressive but we all thought she’d make it to 100. Rip Betty.

Last night my band toasted Betty during our show and played The Golden Girls theme song over the PA before our 2nd set.
99 is a damn good run. My maternal Grandmother passed a year and a half ago just a month shy of 104. Not to many classy ladies left in their mold.

I found this out yesterday and thought "what a lousy way to end 2021." And it was, for all concerned.
Her comic timing was chef's-kiss exquisite. This one's gold: to set the scene, a young girl had obtained Rose's teddy bear and Rose wanted it back. The kid was ransoming the bear....
RIP to a legend, and from what I understand, a heck of a good person.

OK, every few years some wiseguy (Mickey as well as members all over the web) posts this as well as articles saying, "Betty White is dead". Well, they are just reporting what they have read. It isn't true, unfortunately! I kid. She is near and dear to me and still ALIVE. Over the years, this "news of her passing" serves as a beacon to me on other issues.
