I was bushwhacked yesterday.
In the afternoon I did a run through of the material I anticipated playing for my gig that night. Loaded the car with my gear in the late afternoon. Left home at 6:10 and arrived at the venue at 6:35. Set up my gear and wondered when the other two members of the trio would arrive. They're chronically late so I didn't think much of it. But by 6:47 I was getting concerned so I called my manager, who laughed and informed me that I wasn't scheduled to play there until the next night!
It's the first time I've ever done that, and still can't understand why. I even made a promo listing the incorrect date.

Would you care to share some relevant info on what exactly you are talking about? I work in a large IS organization and my house is filled with connected devices of all sorts and I know nothing about any issues regarding calendars or date issues on systems either personal or enterprise.

The calendar has been bushwacked by the same little dick that started the Y2K debacle. That "little dick" is history now but his wake is left to us. Don't worry, it shouldn't be much as most hospitals are equipped for it. It a nutshell, that's it. It's true , happened to me and the ebay seller as we tried to coordinate a local pickup & pay date and time for a tele rehoming , both of us were victims .
Luckily we caught each others victimhood in time to save wasted drive time disappointment .

Yeah, I have no idea what people are talking about. Some kind of mixup with calendars, but the explanation about "same little dick that started the Y2K debacle" makes zero sense to me.

I almost got fired over the y2k debacle. Working in IT for Prudential Financial, I was in charge of corporate name resolution systems. The CIO called a meeting to ascertain whether we were ready for y2k. I of course thought the whole thing was 90% nonsense and when he asked me (my first meeting with top level executives) what we were doing to ensure a smooth transition, I told him we were so ready that I had instructed my team to begin work on the Y3K problem so we don't get caught short when the next millennium arrives. A bunch of calendar confused stuffed shirts...ha ha ha

Back in the day we had real feeding frenzies on whole batches of Rondo seconds & typing error gear adds.
In lieu of those helicon days we have a mix of the cargo cult & spirit dancing now resurfaced as conspiracy prediction .
yesca might have tapped into the vein ? or he might have a batch of import tinfoil.
