I was bushwhacked yesterday.

In the afternoon I did a run through of the material I anticipated playing for my gig that night. Loaded the car with my gear in the late afternoon. Left home at 6:10 and arrived at the venue at 6:35. Set up my gear and wondered when the other two members of the trio would arrive. They're chronically late so I didn't think much of it. But by 6:47 I was getting concerned so I called my manager, who laughed and informed me that I wasn't scheduled to play there until the next night!

It's the first time I've ever done that, and still can't understand why. I even made a promo listing the incorrect date.

Would you care to share some relevant info on what exactly you are talking about? I work in a large IS organization and my house is filled with connected devices of all sorts and I know nothing about any issues regarding calendars or date issues on systems either personal or enterprise.

It's true , happened to me and the ebay seller as we tried to coordinate a local pickup & pay date and time for a tele rehoming , both of us were victims .

I almost got fired over the y2k debacle. Working in IT for Prudential Financial, I was in charge of corporate name resolution systems. The CIO called a meeting to ascertain whether we were ready for y2k. I of course thought the whole thing was 90% nonsense and when he asked me (my first meeting with top level executives) what we were doing to ensure a smooth transition, I told him we were so ready that I had instructed my team to begin work on the Y3K problem so we don't get caught short when the next millennium arrives. A bunch of calendar confused stuffed shirts...ha ha ha

In lieu of those helicon days we have a mix of the cargo cult & spirit dancing now resurfaced as conspiracy prediction .
