This one right here, recorded live in Japan in 1975, is in my opinion one of the greatest blues recordings ever made. Half of the 240 views on this YouTube video are probably me. There is something so raw and intense about this performance that pierces the core of me. This is the real thing that all those British "blues scholars" I grew up admiring, as great as they were, are only a pale imitation of.

I saw him in concert a few years back and he was great, both with his playing and his talking about his life and experiences. At one point he snapped at the audience for not knowing the material as well as people in Japan do, which was pretty funny.

I think they had very little rehearsal...maybe they'd just met?... when they recorded this album. I love it.
