I can't read a thing these days without glasses. I consider myself a quick search 'n peck typist but I need a visual clue (or two, or three) to get rolling. I like this old keyboard so I took the $7.00 plunge for these babies and boy are they paying off big (pun intended)!
I just had to put the " [SPACE] " sticker on the bar. I couldn't help myself.
.. and I'm done poking around blindly for my laptop's data ports. Some sharpie paint marker now outlines the numerous and varied black-on-black inputs (it comes off with a touch of paint thinner).
Stand and share your stories.

I don't know about those keys but I touch type?
We do 'index' most of our plugs (phones and tablets) (or use magnetic chargers or QI) and keys (boss uses a scooter) with marker or white-out, whichever is appropriate. I also have reading glasses in about every room.

I use two laptops, both solid black. Finding and remembering port locations is a struggle, especially the Sony one. That one looks like one lump of coal.
I also label all wall poxer chargers now, no more guessing.
I am amazed by the small print found on many household products, down to the lowly cream of wheat instructions, or your medicine pill labels/instructions.
Another: light gray print over white 'cause it looks pretty, or everything Helvetica light.
I love Ilford photo film and chemicals bit the corporate typeface is very thin and tyring when figuring out specs or instructions.

I love my progressive glasses..three blended Zones, plus the auto darken/lighten effect. Brain got used to them in a few days. Good for sports (from tennis to skiing) reading, long distances, etc. But still not good enough for that stupidly small text on many directions pamphlets.
After getting my eye exam and a detailed summary of what my prescription is, including eye spacing, I bought my glasses thru Zenni, on line, for about 1/3 the cost of what the optometrist would charge. Tons of great frame styles all at pretty affordable prices...way cheaper than the few companies that tend to monopolize the prescription glasses market thru the optometrists.
I even got an extra polarized pair with orange reflective lenses...but once I got my auto adjust to sun light ones, I only use this one pair for everything at about 120$ from Zenni. Had this pair for over 3 years now. I just take em off to sleep and shower. Before that it was a few years of readers, put em on, take em off, find the broken pieces in a pocket, or drawer, etc.

Nah.. forget it, the visual world is just an illusion anyway.
Also, science has allowed to do bizarre things with the human eye components, and what's behind it.

I wear one contact. One eye sees a great distance like an eagle and the other can read the small print. I rotate the contact so both eyes get in on the action.

Man I know how you feel @tlarson58 I've been wondering how much longer I'm going to be able to work on guitars especially soldering. I have a huge lighted magnifying glass I have to use as well as a solder monster and still it takes so long for me to do anything small because of my sight. Like pups I've changed so many os them over the years and it used to only take 15 or 20 minutes to change a set of humbuckers now I'm looking at a minimum of 30 to 45 minutes. Guess the Stones were right with the opening lyrics of Mothers Little Helper "what a drag it is getting old"

I have a backlit keyboard with big type like tat as well. I've become farsighted in my old age.
