They are kind of a forgotten band these days, but I was really into them when I was a kid. Saw them live when they opened for Deep Purple, and they were incredible. Their stuff was pretty strange for southern rock.

I think that you mean Black Oak Arkansas, not Blue Oyster Cult.

That is a bummer, COVID takes yet another. We have been notified at my place of work that ALL employees are being asked to volunteer 1 day a week to help supplement/assist with supporting the front-line due to the increase of patients and scarcity of nursing staff. Our models are suggesting a peak in this part of the country sometime mid-late september, I hope they are right.

Our kids went back to school last week and some school districts are reporting over 15-20% of the student body and staff out due to quarantine or positives tests too.

BOA. BOC is blue oyster cult. Not too familiar with their music. Next 10 years they (classic rockers) will mostly all be gone. Read about them stealing the school's PA system a long time ago. Wikipedia always makes me see these names i never heard before. This guy who was in BOA was amazing.

Always thought David Lee Roth got some of his schtick from Jim "Dandy" Mangrum. Doesn't get any better than Aldridge on drums.
RIP Rickie Reynolds.

A lot of people don't know/remember this but Jim Dandy cut a solo (but with some BOA bandmates) metal album back in the 80's. Pretty good stuff IIRC. Album is hard to find.

BTW, that's a doctored cover. This is what the album cover looked like. It's Jim Dandy's solo work but the record company didn't think anyone would buy it without BOA's name on it.
