You know I was trying to convince myself I need to buy more guitars but seeing these guys..starting to feel a bit of performance anxiety... Maybe I'll try knitting ?

You should. I knit and crochet, not well, but... Idle hands....
I found that it helps with finger strength, dexterity and coordination which helps with guitar.
But that wasn't your point.
