Got an alert on my cell phone at 7:07 announcing that a curfew would go into effect at 8:00pm, and remain in effect until 5:30am. It seems that "peaceful protesters" have begun looting LA.

I have never seen a curfew in America in the 51 years I've been alive. This does not bode well.

Rochester NY as well. There isn't an ounce of peaceful in looting and rioting.

I feel its kinda like being mad at your landlord so you decide to trash and burn your apartment...kinda sucks when you have to go back and live in it though..

Yep-yep... Once you start destroying shit, you're no longer a "protester", you're a rioter/looter. It's hilarious watching "journalists" on TV ducking rocks and bottles, and trying to describe how peaceful everything is with a look of abject panic on their face.

saw curfew after hurricane Katrina hit Biloxi...same reasoning, if you were out after dark, they assumed you were looking to loot the wreckage.

Just caught a bit of the live news feeds, and saw agitators literally rolling a flaming dumpster (In DC). Definitely no social distancing in proper rioting decorum.

Chicago is in serious trouble. Luckily my sister in law and boyfriend are visiting us instead of dealing with this craziness.

Yeah, that doesn't freak me out as much as a curfew due to civil unrest.

When they let a police station burn down and the cops ran. We were all screwed. I here theres some rednecks with rifles helping to guard some local businesses. Funny how those places are doing fine.

I was at work in downtown Chattanooga, Tenneessee the day Martin Luther King was shot. In fact, I was working the evening shift.
Lived all of seven miles from the office, but got stopped by the police in riot gear 3 or 4 times on the way home that evening.
Got a "free pass"to stick on my windshield as I was an essential worker. Chatty was under curfew for about a week.

Just thinking it's looking like 1968 all over again.

In 1968 (when MLK was shot) we had rioting in the streets in cities all over the country.

In and around 1776 when Americans were shot we had rioting and war. There is some similarity to 1968 in that a lot of this is muckraking, race baiting, BS, but that's about it.

The riots we have today are fake and staged, the looters have been paid to loot. The news is fake and staged, media has been paid to create a race war.

We are about to have our second American revolution, and take back our country to create peace and prosperity again - in a way this country hasn't seen since before 1913.

Water is wet, the sky is blue, and 2+2 = 4.

More accurately, there are similarities to both. Most of us want peace and prosperity, or so I'd like to believe.

I doubt we will see a return of 1776 until the Trump Second Term, assuming he is re-elected.

I am looking at an ad from a drug company:

"A lung cancer diagnosis can leave you holding your breath"

There are other forms of cancers that can do just that, and beyond.

After cleanup all day I was shocked to see the sweet little town , la Mesa, next to me is in flames. I watched a guys feed that was on rollerblades for 2 hours. This place is just 2 off ramps from me. About 4 mi. About 2 mi from my mom and closer to my kids house. My grandparents used to live there and that was our vons and pizza place. I did a little solo gig in a little shop there.
Watched them loot the vons and other shops and light up a fd admin SUV. It was just a big ol party for some. I heard they were bussed in from la. At this point I hope so

The pharmaceutical industry itself is a cancer.

Milwaukee was under curfew last night as well. This isn't a political forum, but we'll just say that the vast majority of violent "protesters" aren't from around here...

For all you holier than now judgemental types who think there's no excuse for this type of behavior... remember when Jesus went ape shit at the market....
