I was poking around to find info on the upcoming 24 Hours of Daytona (this weekend!), and, as I always being interested in Mazda, looked up their current entry machine:
Pretty slick, even with some Photo work.
The paint color.
Side view is more predictable, as they all pretty much look the same in that class:
Looking for the naked version, always impressed by the sheer visual muscle factor.

interesting tidbit: An outfit called Multimatic does all the chassis work (design, production) for a number of racing programs, including this Mazda, and some Fords.
So, this race car is a much a Multimatic as a Mazda!
Like in much of racing, there is a story behind a given branding.

Yes, the new one has incredible lines, a classic with modern bits.
It is the new Datsun 240Z/280Z.. or the Triumph or MG that could have been!
Extra: poking around, I found references to carburetors makers Zenith, Solex.
Who knew that Mikuni was licensing from Solex?
