I was looking at a news story unrelated to guitars, or amps, or Monoprice, and a Monoprice ad was on the page. Hmm, what's that in the upper left corner? Looks like a new head, looks pretty big, probably tube, it must be powerful...
And it is! It's 1500 watts!

Er. Uh. I think it is an electric heater. DOH!

Amps are heaters too, but heaters aren't necessarily amps.

But it heats the cabinet.

I'm just gonna take it to mean that it's like an engine block heater, but for guitar amp cabs lol.

Well it's not on ther guitar amp page . They do have a new 50 watt tube head and combo. main issue seems to be instead of popping during channel switching it fades for a second and raises volume.

Haha! Man, I clicked that link, and when I got to the page, I didn't look at the title and just started clicking through the pictures of it... I was thinking: "Man, that's a strange looking amp..." <click> "Looks more like a space-heater...." <click> "Where are the controls? Are they on the back??" <click> Don't they have a picture of the back of this amp??"

Then I looked to the right and saw: Dynamic Infrared Dynamic 1,500 Watt Electric Convection Cabinet Heater (titled at the Department of Redundancy Department)

And I went: "D'oh!"
