Just found out he passed. Great guitar player. I remember the first time I heard Mississippi Queen and Nantucket sleigh-ride. They were killer band.

The man with an 80s Washburn HM-5V. Love candid pics like this. Godspeed Leslie, go climb that mountain.

Sad news. I love all of those early Mountain albums. This means that the entire original band is now gone

I'll say RIP to leslie but as I get older I realize how much watching others that mean something to us pass is really reminding us our time is shortening. I remember watching my grandmother go through it and it really just didnt sink in. It is now.

Sad day; RIP. Not surprised though considering his poor health.
My favorite, and quite a heartbreaking story as to how he came about writing it.
“ Oh can you tell me
Oh how the joy
Passed from his childhood
That's not my boy
I see he's finished
He's run his race
We're not his family
That's not his face”

I have to agree. Playing fast and being able to get 500 notes in 2 seconds is great but there's a loss of emotion. After playing for 50 years I can finally play faster then ever. But I find myself wanting more depth. BB King would play 2 notes that said so much more then a speed demon with 100.
