Been watching SCI-FI flicks off a 1 TB hard drive since I got out of bed this morning.
Started in the 1940's and am into the 1960's now.
Had one flick named "Santa Clause Conquers The Martians"
And am watching something now (I dunno what) where the head astronaut
on the spaceship is a lady in a beehive hairdo.
I've probably already lost a few points off my IQ, but I'm enjoying it anyway.

I've actually seen "Santa Clause Conquers The Martians." Definitely Mystery Science Theater 3000 material.
I sentimentally associate a lot of vintage sci-fi with Christmas and the time surrounding the holiday season. As a kid my brothers and I got a lot of presents having to do with outer space, laser guns, space ships, robots, monsters, and also dinosaurs, army men, all that kind of "boy" stuff. There always seemed to be a very stimulating if not schizophrenic mix of programming on tv during Christmas, an odd mixture of religious themes, festive holiday specials, Japanese Toho films, and the like. One thing I'm thankful for is that I got to be a kid in the 70s and 80s.
Yep, sci-fi and the holidays go together for me like eggnog and bourbon.

Loved the twins in Gamera and I think the one sci-fi movie guaranteed to suck the IQ out of you is ' Plan 9 From Outer Space"

Here's a guitar themed movie from 1962 called Wild Guitar. My wife and I watched it and got some good chuckles.

If you’ve never seen Nude on the Moon - you’re missing a classic.

I just watched Forbidden Planet again recently... I had forgotten what a great movie that was! And it came out in 1956!
