How do I get my avatar in

I'm not able to get my avatar installed or rather I don't see how to do it yet so I was hoping for a little help from my friends 
click on your name (upper right of the screen)
you'll get a drop down menu
click on user control panel
click on profile
click on edit avatar and you'll be close
The avatar must be 49kb or less.
