Some of us just use their name (or someone's name), others are self-evident (like mine, it just states that I'm a gear junkie, obviously). But some are maybe a play on words or something clever. Those who care to, can explain theirs here.
Mine is on my birth certificate.
When I was born I had a 5 year old sister with a mouse fetish.
Our father hated nicknames worse than anyone I've ever known.
So the 5 year old announced that it didn't matter what they named me, she was calling me Mickey.
My other siblings chimed in that if she did, they would too.
So our father named me Mickey.
I've thanked my lucky stars that Bevis & Butthead had not come along at that point.

My mom comes from a long line of Scasters ?
"The man that hath no music in himself, nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds, is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils. The motions of his spirit are dull as night, and his affections dark as Erebus. Let no such man be trusted."
It has a triple meaning. I used to do a lot of photography, back when I first registered, and "glass" is slang for camera lenses. But it can also refer to vacuum tubes, as in amplifiers. AND the Outer Limits episode "Demon With a Glass Hand" was written by Harlan Ellison, one of my favorite authors.

Eicca Toppinen was my musician idol in high school—lead cellist in Apocalpytica. That was around the time I decided to pursue cello as a career.

At some point, I found this story interesting. Sort of a Frankenstein precursor.

I guess mine would not be that hard to decipher, but it´s my first name (Sabas), the initials of my two last names (Gonzalez Rodriguez), and my year of birth - the best year of all! - (1968). I also happen to like 1968 Ford Mustangs.
(But my real code name is AD3200RP500ME80. Less harder to decipher!)

Back in the 90s a fellow on a motorcycle list had a sig file that read: "When poodles roamed the Earth", and I just liked it (without knowing the actual literary reference) , so I adopted "Poodles" and variations.
I could swear we had same subject going not long ago, or am I time-traveling?
Doc... where is Marty??

The other farm cats didn’t super love him but the chickens thought he was alright so he became a chicken.

Let me put it this way: I'm up to my neck in pussy, though not in a good way.
“There are only two means of refuge from the miseries of life: Music and Cats!” Albert Schweitzer
My grandpa stormed the beaches in D-Day and was wounded by Nazis.
My last name is Americanized German (actually happened after Ellis Island due to a rift in the family, but that is a story for another day). He always jokingly called my brother and me Wacousta honyocks, while we would call him an old Orangeville hillbilly.
Just a small way of me remembering the man.
He taught my brother and me so much and I cherish the memories of spending time with him and my grandma so much.
He always said us boys weren't happy unless we were burning gas.

Brian being my first name, and Skeezer being a nickname that my former bandmate gave me because I would do almost anything for money back then. A "skeezer" is apparently a crack whore that'll do anything for money.

UWMC ( University Of Wisconsin Marathon County ) a now-defunct/assimilated campus of the University system where I got my start 20 years ago or so. The building is still there and I held several different positions over the years, but it was assimilated by a nearby 4 year campus as part of a major reorganization ( which eventually also led to the demise of my job and entire division ).

My old one, LookingDownTheCross is a megadeth song from their first album. I ended up using that one on the old site because I think rattlehead might've been taken or skullbeneaththeskin was too long, I can't remember now lol.
But lancer the great is just a play on a nickname some friends called me, name's Lance, add an "r" and then "the great" is just some silly title I use in roleplaying games and stuff.

Mine refers to my name. I used Another as the precursor as other sites I was a member had tons of Jims of some sort or another.
