There was video of tubes being made, by the machines and robot types. Could have been Germany or England, Telefunkens or Mullards.

Yes, all in East Germany, The "WF" plant (TV electronics), I read.

The biggest tube I ever saw was at an antique shop. It was bigger than a 750ml wine bottle and had a laminated printout of its characteristics. I think it was GE and rated to something like 20 kilowatts (I could be wrong on the brand, but pretty certain of the magnitude of the wattage rating). I had a photo somewhere, but couldn't find it.

I took laid to the dump, and there was a hammon organ with 100,s of tubes. I crabbed about 20. Some el84 and 6l6, s) should of got more.

Likely a radio or TV transmitter tube. They would run with massive power supplies that converted mains power to 20,000 volts DC, and an array of tubes could get over 100 kilowatts for long range broadcasts.
