Feeling a Little Robinson Crusoe

Remember that part of the Daniel Defoe novel where Robinson Crusoe has made it to shore and set up a comfortable new home, but he still keeps traveling back to the shipwreck to retrieve useful things? I'm sort of feeling like that right now.

I'm so appreciative to Patrick and all the others who made this new home possible for us all, and seeing all the familiar faces makes me feel at home. But I find myself returning to the old AGF to dig through the wreck, retrieving this and that while I still can, before it finally slips below the surface forever.

Just sharing my feelings and reflections on this surreal transition period.

So true. I’m picking through the smoldering carcass that is the original AGF, saving all of my NGD pics and Hbowner quotes, we also got the Air Supply ugly guy formula, so that’s good...

I've grabbed all, or at least most, of the threads he started or contributed to. All saved to .pdf. I swear I was laughing pretty much the whole time, my family though I was crazed. Not sure what I'll do with them. I've stitched a few of them together, converting multiple-pagers into single documents. Just couldn't lose those!

I think on a psychological level, this has been akin to going through a trauma like a shipwreck, or a natural disaster. The last couple of days are like a blur to me. Like I've been in shock...
