God, typing that thread title hurt.

This is fan shot, and (almost) synched with soundboard audio - so I'm told. Either way, enjoy.

What a fantastic performance! That was only five years ago and they all look like they could do another twenty. Very sad it is over but am glad the final performance was in that configuration. Very fitting...

Not to me. I thought DLR was terrible. Was never a fan when he had a voice.

DLR sounds like Bill Murray doing his hack-y lounge singer bit.

EVH and the rest sound fine.

Tom Petty's last show was also in the Hollywood Bowl. Starting to sense a pattern here.....

I'm still not over Petty. Can't really even contemplate losing Eddie yet.

DLR should have been flogged for that shit show. He had a couple of good years but those were long in the past. Shame Eddie couldn't have had a better frontman for his last outing.

Sound board recordings aren't the best. Just a flat, dry, unprocessed signal... I'm sure they had to have thrown a bucket of reverb and other effects on DLR's vocals. He just couldn't have sounded like that to the audience... I mean, I'm sure he still sounded bad, but he couldn't have sounded this bad.

Listen to "Live at the Tokyo Dome." He pretty much did.

And does.

It’s hard for me to criticize a guy who like me can’t sing for shit, but unlike me, has become extremely successful and arguably legendary as a singer.

Ugh... That's a damn shame.
