I was exposed to the French version of The Avengers, which was titled "Chapeau Melon et Bottes de Cuir", bowler hat and leather boots.

And the only woman that could have tamed james Bond.
I'm Sad. Both MY avengers are gone.
I remember when she was undercover in a dept store. And Steed shows up out of breath. She asked whats up.
He said "I asked where to find you and when they told me you were in lingerie on the 4th floor I ran up the stairs 2 at a time"
They were great together.
RIP Diana

She defined elegance, like some of the great actresses of the '40s and '50s. You just don't see that anymore. I blame today's scriptwriters. Most new movies are seemingly competing to see who can drop the most F-bombs in the least amount of time.
