It's 115° in the SFV...

Anybody else feeling the heat?

This beats the highest temperature I've seen. That was 114° when I lived out in the desert in the Vermilion Cliffs area of Arizona.

Then, I only had a swamp cooler on my trailer, and the water line broke! At least now I have a window AC in my bedroom (and I don't live in a trailer :) ). I covered my bedroom window with aluminum foil this morning.

Made sure I was stocked up with everything I needed, so I wouldn't need to leave the house for anything. This is kind of like the reverse of living in New England, where you hunkered down for a snow storm in the winter.

Jeez. That's higher than anything I can remember in South Texas. The highest I can recall was 110 or so, but a 95 degree day with 60% - 80% humidity is very common there. And in many ways, it is worse.

Which is exactly what I have here today. :D

Last week has been a beautiful crisp "near 70" here (somewhere in the Midwest). It gets above 70 during the day and may dip below at night. My favorite weather (our June/July was humid and nasty, infested with skeeters, much better now - my idea of what summer should be).

P.S. I thought the thread was about a 1x15" bass cab :D

It is worse... In New England it gets up into the 90s with high humidity in the summer. I've lived in other places with a lot humidity too, and I'll take a dry 110° over 95° with 80% humidity any day. But today it got up to 117°, and that just felt other-worldly.

Spooky quiet too... Everybody's staying inside.

I figured anybody with a car or truck that has a black or dark interior will be walking for a while. Second degree burns for sure...

100 today in Salt Lake City. We just had the hottest August in history. It’s supposed to be in the 80’s and cold at night. It’s been neither.

It was 97 on the other side of the hill. We also had low humidity, so overall... a very pleasant day for this Texan. It's fun to watch my neighbors melt during the summer while I enjoy the warmth.

Hey, don't think I'm mean... they laugh at my frozen ass all winter long!

Yeah, for a change you're higher than what we're seeing out here in the high desert. Although hitting 108-111 (depending on what area) is still too damn hot for me. I'm still feeling the effects of that heat from earlier, as I was grilling outside, and it just wouldn't cool down, even when the sun went down. Hell, right now its 11:15pm, and its 90F outside...and looks like more tomorrow and Monday...no relief in sight until Wednesday...

C'mon up here to Northern Wisco- it's been in the high 60's/low 70's with a nice breeze for the last few days. Late summer/early fall is my favorite of all the different seasons we have up here.

That sounds like winter to me! :D
We had a cold front come thru yesterday so it got down to 76 last night! :D

Good thing you're right inside "The Water Cooler". :)

I’m with you on that. I’ll take the heat anytime over cold and snow.

Luckily not that hot here, but we did just break temp records 3 days in a row at 107ish over the weekend, not helping with the non-soon we had this year. We are supposed to get a nice cooldown this week though, back to more typical 100°F highs.

I have experienced that level of heat a couple times here, one day I even made the mistake of riding my Harley. Felt like riding with my head stuck in my mom's salon hair dryer even going 75 down the highway.

I'll take the dry heat any day of the week over humidity or winter. At least here you can sit in the shade and it feels a little better (not when it is 115 though...) or sit in the pool and just stand up to get the evaporative cooling effect when the sun is on the other side of the house.

Yep I have lived in death valley. But the heat and humidity I experienced in Georgia was worse.
