I was making my own cables with neutrix (sp?) parts and bought some varying capacitance cable. Some was as low as 20 pF/foot, another up to 39pF/foot. I was making equal length (15ft) cables. The 20pF was much brighter. It wasnt squint and try to hear the difference, it was obvious. I dont get into the tech behind it, but its likely related to reasons why treble bleed circuits do make a difference (I dont use them, but they make their difference). It's why Jimi used the big coiled long cables live. He wanted less highs live. I like his studio sounds much better, but who cares. I just needed to buy 2 types with significant difference, and it was clear. I like the 20pF/ft cable better. I'ld rather have more audible signal to equalize at the amp than less. Whats that smell? Its the Invisible Corks surrounding you.

Don't believe the hype of cables
