We got the $1.99 Hulu deal. Hasn't been worth it for us. Because one of my kids are in collage we get prime for $50 a year. Worth it.
We switched to the $8.99 Netflix plan last price increase. So far that's been fine.
Just did the $99 a year Criterion channel plan. Our most watched channel. Love watching old classic film and art films.
14 day free trial.

When my oldest son was at UCLA we got Kanopy for free. Some local libraries offer Kanopy for free so it is worth checking before you pay for a Criterion subscription since you would get some of the same content.

They have Kanopy in Brooklyn, where I last lived. Never got to try it out because I moved shortly after finding out about it. Unfortunately, last time I checked, the San Antonio Library did not have Kanopy. :(

I looked it up and this is the only library in San Antonio that has Kanopy. You can see if you qualify for a card. Kanopy is free if you do. Looks like they also have hoopla.

Better check to make sure their computers didn't 'freeze' up.

Hulu is ad free, you just have to pay a little extra:

My wife likes to catch up on some TV shows. We don't have cable so... there ya go.

I also have netflix, Prime and Disney.

All in about $40/mo. No ads, no BS.

I literally can't stand to watch Cable TV anymore because of Ads that are too many and too long. It's a complete shit show.
I'm not a sports fan so I don't need NFL/NBA/NHL/MLB special packages.
If I want to watch a special event I'll find out how to get it on my streaming device.
I hate the news (Err... Opinion TV) anymore and can get all of that nonsense on the internet anyway.
Same with weather and I don't have to wait 10 minutes (In looking at YOU Weather Channel!!) to get the local weather.

I can watch pretty much any movie or show I can imagine between the four options and those that aren't free I can rent on amazon for a couple of bucks a few months after release in the theater. The last time we went to a movie theater between tickets and snacks we spent over $70.
