Woke up today in Missouri, with -8F feels like -14F. Current temp is around zero F. Hey, but this is Missouri and the weather changes every four hours.

The school district decided today is a "remote school day" because it's dangerously cold in Omaha.
They are calling for the most snow accumulation here in the Florida Panhandle than at any time in recorded history.
So I guess this is a historic storm.
Myself, I'd rather see snow than ice any day!

Well, where I am it's 69F right now but predicted to go to 59/42 on Friday. I'll probably have to turn the heat on for the first time in I can't remember how many years...

I had a fire in the fireplace last evening and I just spent an hour picking up kindling on the property for the next few days. While we have not had temps below freezing it is quite cool for this part of Florida. I am good with it. I do not think I could live where it is that cold and I know the wife would not. She is frozen anytime it is below 70F.

It's kind of weird that it almost seemed to be colder in parts of the South than it did up north.
Here in NYC, it's currently 15 F, "feels like 6". But then, NYC is a heat island: I see on the Weather Underground map that you don't have to go too far away to find temperatures below zero.
