Hey guys. Remember me? It's been a while. 10 months since my last post to be exact.
I have popped on here in "lurker mode" a few times over the last few months, but I think it is time for me to make an effort to get more "active" here again, since I always though that this was the best and friendliest forum out there. I have just gotten sidetracked with life. There has been bad stuff like my mom dying, and ongoing medical problems stemming from when I had COVID, and 1 1/2 months of dental crisis hell. But there has been good stuff like my old band becoming much more active again, our business being on the rebound, and me being able to live in Turkey for 6 months.
And really, I have just not been as addicted to buying gear and modding as much as I used to. Maybe this forum will help me get back into that (which may not be a good thing...lol)

Glad to see quite a few "old timers" still here. There are sill a few names that I remember from when I joined the original version of the forum back in 2012. It will be great to hear your experiences and adventures again.

PS: I don't know if anyone ever talks about Agiles here on the old Agile guitar forum any more, but I happened to look at the Rondo site about a day or so ago and saw that there is now an Agile that is on sale from it's original price of almost $2000.00! A $2000.00 Agile? Wow! How times have changed!

A $2000 dollar Agile you say? That works out to $200 per string. That is crazy!

Good to have you back @Gergo .

I would not want to do a re-fret job on this one.

I hate that those things life throws at us sometimes pile up against us all at once. It's just hard to get back to a positive perspective sometimes. I'm glad to hear you're looking at that from the rear-view, but sorry you had to go through it, and glad you're back here. I agree it's a pretty good group.

No kidding. Just looking at those frets remind me of my acid-trippin' days, way back when

welcome back.
sorry about your mom. Mine passed in 2019 and I'm still processing it.
And I too have had some dental hell.

But such is life. No one gets through unscathed.

Welcome back and glad you made it through the challenges - the last 2 years seem to have put us all to the test in new ways. AGF has been through the ringer as a forum several times too, yet the core survives. I think I originally joined around 2011 but one thing that has been consistent over all the different platforms and versions is the core welcoming nature of the members. And not just towards new members but those who return after being away, sometimes for years. It's almost like AGF is the internet equivalent of your parents house/the family farm - there's always a light on and a bed to sleep in ( or at least a couch! )

Not as much Agile talk lately, but I still have a reverb search for used agiles and I troll guitar center used for the occasional mis-priced item ( on the low side ). Rondo has really gotten away from the AL over the past year or so - my guess is the supply chain/covid craziness combined with a plethora of other new entries to the market in that segment ( firefly, IYV, etc ) don't make it all that profitable anymore. He still has a lot of extended range offerings and as of late there have been some cool lower priced SX/Hadean items popping up.

My GAS has narrowed significantly over the years almost exclusively to acoustics, and even further narrowed to vintage Alvarez/Yairi guitars.

Another prodigal son returns! Welcome back! I'll go slay the fatted calf...

I was absent from the forum for about 14 months meself due to homelessness. Sorry to hear about your mom, and your dental problems. I can relate. I had to have about $4,000 worth of dental work done recently, and my mom passed away (too young) about 5 years ago.
Finally escaping the People's Republic of Kalifornia!
