I'm trying to sell a guitar on Reverb and get a message out of the blue from someone asking me to buy their guitar they have (nice looking Gretsch, at prettu much fair market value).
Can't fault them for trying a different way than buying bumps or whatever Etsy has done to make it harder to get your listing seen without paying more than we are already...

That's just strange enough to make me think there might have been a scam attempt in there somewhere.
I’ve been getting a lot of random “offers” from random sellers on reverb. It’s always the same item as things I watched on reverb.
Every time I get one I send them back a ridiculously low offer back. I don’t want your unsolicited offer to buy gear.

Yes, it was not the exact item I was watching. One that was basically the same though.
The seller is not the same.

It's a quality guitar, I got one of that first batch a couple years ago when they were available for about fifteen minutes. I think it was the first HB I paid more than $200 for (a hair over $300 IIRC) which was a shock to the system..
Delightful mix of insolence, arrogance and narcissism

If anything I'd say this new one is even better than my 1st.tobijohn wrote:It's a quality guitar, I got one of that first batch a couple years ago when they were available for about fifteen minutes.
