More than Van Halen, more than Aerosmith, when I was driving my car in the mid/late-70s, I was listening to BTO. I still think that they are the #1 driving band ever. Just unbelievably feel-good music. RIP Tim Bachman. Oh, and fuck cancer!

Hard driving Rock and Roll. I was a little league kid in a baseball uniform waiting for a ride, when the drummer Robbie Bachman walked into our little convenience store. He just bussed in and was visiting his sister. He walked up he steps, announced himself and put out his hand. I knew who they were, sort of. I soon very much liked their music. I still remember his face with those glasses.
RIP to Tim , and Robbie.

I totally agree. BTO ruled the airwaves back in the early 70's. A crime they are not in the R 'n' R HOF (The Guess Who isn't either!).
Arguably one of the best road songs right up their with Deep Purple's "Highway Star" and with bends to make Leslie West nod in approval. RIP Tim....(joing his brother Rob who just passed away also).

Some of my bandmates kind of turned their noses up at BTO, I think because they were mostly thinking of the more poppy radio hits, but I played "Not Fragile" for them, and one of them said, "Dang, that sounds like a completely different band!"
