This Jeff Beck Group 2, with Tench, Middleton, and Cozy, are my favorite 2 albums ...until the later 2000's crazy albums like "You Had It Coming" and "Jeff".
Bob Tench's vocals fit great...better than Rod's, IMO.
Cozy and Jeff look like twins.

more of same, there used to be more footage from that German Beat Club show with blue background, the second link is live audio from same, but doesn't seem to be actual footage. First link is live footage from one song off the groups new album.

I agree ..truthfully never a fan of Rod Stewart with Beck, I thought they were always trying to compete and sometimes the vocals seemed dissonant to what the guitar was actually doing. Tench was masterful and soulfulPartscaster wrote: ↑Thu Jan 26, 2023 8:48 pm This Jeff Beck Group 2, with Tench, Middleton, and Cozy, are my favorite 2 albums ...until the later 2000's crazy albums like "You Had It Coming" and "Jeff".

Beck is inimitable. I mean, sure, an astute listener can study Beck and cop all his techniques, just as a clever impressionist can study Christopher Walken and mimic his idiosyncratic mannerisms. I can do that. But that's not really Beck. It's just surface. Beck's essence cannot be duplicated. The guitar in his hands was a voice of unparalleled power and sensitivity animated by a singularly unique soul which was his alone. Everything about him, his personal history, upbringing, love of cars, if he was a prick . . . that's all baked in to what you hear when he plays. And yes, it is beautiful.

While watching this yutub concert from last september I noticed his Marshall cabinet's remaining lettering seemingly reads "arshole" .
What a funny and feisty fella. He even made the last A an O, and shortened the last L to look like an "e"
