I was shopping in Aldi's today. I don't particularly like the place, but one of my cats has become addicted to this brand of wet food that only they carry. He's an old codger, not in good health, and missing lots of teeth. I want him to live the best life he can in the time he has remaining, so I dote on him more than the others.
Making my way to the cat food I walked through an isle with cookies, and that's where I spied the Bentons.
Quick question: Is Bentons like a universal code for "knock off" or something?
Yes, I bought some. Like the guitars they're pretty good, and certainly way cheaper than the name brand, though there's something lacking. What that "something lacking" is is the 40% better flavor of the real Chips Ahoy, Oreos, and Keebler Mint Fudge Stripes . . . that and the correct headstock.
Excuse me now while I go sit with one of my Harley Benton Gibson knockoffs and eat some Bentons Chips Ahoy cookie knockoffs. I will, however, be drinking real milk from an authentic cow.
WHY PAY NAME BRAND PRICE WHEN YOU CAN BUY BENTONS?

Bart got a whole box of his favorite food. I wish Bentons made a knock off of Friskies.

Bart looks awesome. He looks like he could have a nice loud gritty purr. Dude, that is so nice that he gets royal treatment.
I'm saving a pic of Bart.
I have been more than satisfied with knock-off brands. Putting the best pickups in them, its like a walmart brand saltine dipped into sweetened condensed milk.
The knockoff can be an adequate delivery mechanism for top shelf results.
And then there is also Barbi Benton......

I love me some Aldi,I stop at least a couple times a Week. Mostly for produce and dairy, but also some of the snacks and bread. They also have a great selection of cheeses and seasonal treats. Having said that I totally get where you are coming from on the knockoff canned/dried/packaged stuff. It’s really hit or miss and I usually steer clear.
