I literally wouldn't know who he was if it weren't for EBMM.

Thanks for sharing, Albert is fantastic. Had the distinct pleasure of meeting him once and chatted for a bit, really great human being as well as a ridiculous musician.

I'm going to come back to this and watch the whole thing. Albert has had an interesting career with a lot of heavy hitters, and stands second to no one.

You got it! Methinks it would be a lot easier to list the "heavy hitters" in several genres of music that he has not either recorded with or done concerts with. Along with James Burton the top sideman of his generation.

Great player. I will check out the video. Got to see him play with the Everly Brothers in the 80's.

I saw Albert Lee play at a local festival, three(?) years ago, and, after focusing to the guitar playing, what really got me was his singing voice, quite rich, soulful.
The other farm cats didn’t super love him but the chickens thought he was alright so he became a chicken.

For years, I knew of him through guitar mags (anytime anyone mentioned chicken pickin' they referred to Albert Lee), and saw him interviewed.

Then, years later, I found out he is British! I watched a recent vid of him performing. He looks older now, but he is so, so smooth and economical, especially his fretting hand. Lots to learn from him for sure.

I’m a huge EBMM fan, and most of the players of their signature guitars, I don’t know who they are either!

Now there are some very notable exceptions, namely Lukather and Morse.

Every EBMM I have played save for one has been absolutely top-flight. You can tell that time and care have been taken to do things properly.
