At least to me an interesting bit of trivia.
The song "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue" was written by Loretta Lynn.
It was not something Loretta could sing.
So it got pitched to Brenda Lee who seemed to think it was a piece of Momo.
Crystal Gayle was like HEY BIG SISTER CAN I RECORD IT!
Lotetta relented and allowed Crystal to record it.
It went to #1 on the Pop, Country & Easy Listening charts.
Won Crystal a grammy.
And Loretta grinned all the way to the bank.

I didn't realize how stunningly beautiful she is until seeing this video. I probably saw it on TV when it first aired in 77, but that was before puberty. I was only 8 years old.

This song crosses my mind A LOT. And I have no idea why. It's somehow become deeply, deeply imbedded in my noggin over the years.

Dunno about your Dad but Crystal had that affect on me back then! I thought she was RED HOT!
She lives about 1/4 mile from my old place in Nashville. :)

Absolutely STUNNING!
I honestly don't think she realized just how sexy she was back then.
She is still married to the same guy she was back then.
Dunno about him, but she has not aged well.

Heck I was a little kid riding around in my mom's 79' T-Bird (The BIG red one with a white vinyl top) listening to that song on the 8-track. I was 4-5 and I fell in love with Crystal Gayle back then, I thought she was beautiful. That has shaped my love for women to this day, I still love a long haired brunette!
