Hey guys..
I got my band an outdoor gig in a month and I need to get us stage lights.
Do any of you working musicians have any recommendations?

Same rule applies as with guitars. Buy used. :) I think I'd actually consider renting a few times until the right used deal came up. Aside from that hopefully someone has something more detailed

I agree rental is the way to go until you decide exactly what you want and find a deal you feel is fair. The last several years I played with No Strings Attached we used Lowe Audio for everything all the PA gear, lighting and an experienced guy on the board and because we used them for every gig we played and it was the same price inside a club or outside at a festival.

I'm looking at an ADJ stage wash kit for $300...
That includes 4 LED RGBW lights and the stand and foot pedal...

A couple months ago I played at a place that had a giant banner behind the stage with LED lights that flashed in all kinds of different colors and patterns. The venue didn't turn these lights on until after I started playing so I couldn't see them while performing. During our first break people in the audience told me they thought they were going to have a seizure watching me. I had no idea what they were talking about until I saw the video after the show. I have no idea what it cost or where to get one of those, but it seems to me like like it would be a lot of bang for your buck.

Flashing lights can cause folks with epilepsy to have seizures.

The only flashing lights that will give me a seizure are blue ones in my rear view mirror.
