My mom took our girls yesterday so we could get started on my office re-do.
I've been feeling more and more claustrophobic so I wanted to clear out and start fresh.
I cam now get at my amps and my receiver/cd player/records.
Bought a new desk, and got it set up in a nice uncluttered layout.
Still need to put up 2 more guitar hangers on the other wall. Going to try to avoid floor racks or stands to keep floor as open as possible. Also putting any and all spare parts in my garage instead.
Office re-do weekend
I'm currently dealing with my parent's estate. Unfortunately, some of their clutter has to pass through our clutter in the process. It gives us a lot of motivation to get rid of things so we don't leave anyone else in that position.
We bought a bunch of them at Costco, I also have some nice smaller ones that are perfect for guitar parts.
Somehow I had over 2/3 of a dozen of project bodies&necks or set neck guitars hiding in my house and garage and I have very little interest in most all of them...that is almost 1/3 of my entire menagerie of guitars that are utterly unplayable time suck, but I am too stubborn to cut bait on them.

Bingo. After dealing with my parents' things (they were both packrats), I hope to NOT leave my kids in that position. It wore me out. I got rid of a lot of stuff that could have been sold because I didn't have the time or will to deal with it. My wife will have to deal with it when her mom dies (lots of artworks that are worth something, but that we don't want).

You folks could hire an estate sale company.
Locally, we go to these often - lots of retirees in area, and they enjoy their last years here.
Sales vary, some high -end, some more modest.
BTW, I cannot tell you how many times I saw the old man' drafting tools, diplomas, work awards, etc. Also studio photos of family pets - I collect (and care for) these!

The other farm cats didn’t super love him but the chickens thought he was alright so he became a chicken.
