hey all! my old band quit playing shows back in 2016 and recently they approached with the idea of getting back together to play some of our old songs and learn some from my 3 solo albums...so that's had me in a big gear buying mood lately. Here's some of what I've been up to:

First up, a new guitar! I haven't purchased a new guitar in almost 3 years. So but I picked up this Kramer Striker. I was pleasantly surprised by the pickups and the floyd considering it's a $400 guitar. I thought for sure they would need replaced but the floyd holds tune great and the pickups are surprisingly clear and powerful. It does everything it should do. The only thing I don't like are the tuners, but honestly, with the locking nut it's not that big of a deal.

Then my amp and pedal board...I traded an old guitar I never use and a small combo amp for this Marshall MG100HDFX head. I know these aren't terribly popular online because of the distortion sound, but i really just needed a good clean base for pedals, and crucify me if you must, but I actually like the clean sound with the reverb at about 10 o'clock and the eq slightly adjusted but mostly around noon. Its through a no name 4x12 cab I've pieced together over the years. The pedal board, aside from the chorus, phase, and tuner are all new. I've never been much of a pedal guy but i finally broke down and built a board. It's powered by an onstage power spot and its a generic Donner board.

From top left to bottom right: Behringer VD400 Vintage Delay (thinking of swapping it for an MXR Carbon Copy), Behringer UT300 Ultra Tremolo (don't plan on replacing this, I use it for exactly one song lol), ISET Flanger, Electro Harmonix Small Stone Nano Phaser, Electro Harmonix Small Clone Chorus (full size), VSN Noise Gate, NU-X Recto Distortion (I bought this on a whim and really like it!), MXR 10-band EQ (its very noisy on the clean channel, even with a standalone 18v power supply but I just don't use it on clean), Electro Harmonix Soul Preacher Compressor / Sustainer, Donner Harmonic Square pitch shifter, Korg DT-10 Tuner.

That's a sexy looking Kramer! Looks like a practical and working rig for sure.
