So I wanted to put a Bigsby on my Harley DC 600. From what I have seen, to save from drilling, I need the Bigsby itself and something called a Vibromate plate to go underneath. Install on the videos looks relative straight forward.
Does that sound correct?
And...if I can not find the correct Vibromate Plate in gold...I can just install the B5 by itself, I just have to line it up even and then screw it into body? Is there any specific placement of the B5 if I screw in direct?

I don't think there's a specified place to put it...on my SG it was quite far back. Installed a toner down bar into the stopbar inserts because it looked like an oddly large a gap otherwise.

So you just kind of line it up as straight as you can and drill away?
The entire purpose of a Vibramate is so you don't have to drill holes. Here is just one video of how to do it with an SG, there are others:

Yeah, the vibramate makes it easy and reversible. But you can just screw it in if you don't care for holes in the body.
For flying Vs people come up with the weirdest additions to install a Bigsby...SGs are easy as it's a flat top with plenty room to place it where you want it.
The further from the bridge, the less break angle, longer the string, and softer the bends, basically.

I am looking into this...may be cost prohibitive. They make generic Bigsbys, but not sure they will fit on the Vibromate..especially in gold. If I can get and return to Amazon...may be best way to go.

That may be the trem I order, but several already posted it does not fit the Vibromate. I may order one and since I will be changing the tailpiec anyway, see how it lines up with the studs removed. Silver vibromate under gold bigsby would look fine to me.

Yes, years ago[ @NickintheStates and @Bubba Zanetti had a project where they were trying to make silk purses out of sows' ears with, I think, some cheap Harley Bentons.
