@golem (Chandler) has been hoarding a variety of Kinman Strat pickups and asked me to create interchangeable pickguards. Basically unscrew, unplug, plug in the new and re-screw. Easy-peasy.

Mainly for Squier upgrades and other cheap guitars. Usually some of the holes don't line up anyway and i don't mind moving a few. Occasionally i will have to file the neck portion so it doesn't hit. One Ali company used to sell a colored assortment of 10 pieces but i don't see that anymore. Same with knobs in quantity, just got 50 3/4" knobs with set screws for .29c each.

I was actually talking to Rob about how I think Mozz had a tumbler that makes them lose the gloss. I love it.

Yeah a cheap rock tumbler. I usually put the knobs and pickup covers in there and run it with some dirt/sand.

That's cool. I always thought if wanted to compare pickups I'd do this setup on a strat body and take the body pickup routing all the way to the lower side of the body's a loaded pickguard could just be slid in and out.
