Hunting for Jazzmeisters

I guess these are not true Jazzmasters, so I will call them Jazzmeisters.

It all started when @Buddha Pickups offered several sets of his pickups. As Tim will attest, I can not resist. The lot of pickups included two sets of Jazzmaster pickups (one set single coil, the other humbucker) & I do not currently own anything resembling a JM or routed of JM pickups! So preparations were made to start hunting.

Fortunately, @honyock started a thread about a body & build he was starting. In there I found out about Rossier on the bay & I have a Meteora style body on order with JM pickup routes & a 2 point tremolo

That should take care of one set. I think I will put the single coil pups in there & use a four way switch for serial wiring.

Being a cheap SOB I was also looking at the Firefly FFJA, but don't like the colors they currently have in stock. So I will try to be patient.

Well of course the wizards of the interweb were watching me & the Subzero Rogue popped up at a seemingly very good price. So this is on the way from Jolly Old England:

Fortunately, I also have a set of Buddha HBs to put in this one.

So I will fairly quickly go from no JM style guitars to three. Life is good!

If you're still looking, I think the CNZ Audio JM is a very good mod platform for the money. I love the way I dialed in the playability on this one, and I don't even hear a reason to change pickups. Having said that, the routing looks perfectly Jazzmaster friendly. Mine was $249, but they have increased their price by about 12% since. They are also considering adding a Jaguar style to their lineup.

@ILuvTeles I've been looking at "Meisters" and Jags and have about decided on one of these.

I have an old ash SJM/Liquid I'm getting rid of if you're interested. It needs some work but would also hold a set of jazzmaster pups.

Also, the 2nd jazzmaster set is a tapped set.

If that were in stock I would have already ordered one actually I did put in for notification when they're back in stock.

I'm on the GuitarFetish email list, but as hard as I've tried, I've never found the lefties of which they speak. I even got an email from them today where they claim to have lefties in, but no dice. I'd certainly build a Jag if they only had the lefty parts.
