You're organizing and you come across a new in box powered pa.
Wtf?!?
I know where it must have come from. Anyone remember ubuyguitars.com? I got the unfretted project (I still haven't started) and I got my band room pa from them. I think the pa was $50. The guitar was $30 or so?
This is an Axl pmx1240. It's got a bit of buzz but not horrible. I remember testing there and rejecting this one. So how is it here? Anyway. I know I have a broken pa from him that the owner said was an easy fix. I knew it was nonop maybe the deal was I bought a 2nd working one and got the dud for free? I have no idea. Dont think he gave it to me maybe I paid 20 30 for the extra pair?
Been sitting in a box for 2 years propping up my soundgarden poster.
I guess cleaning the band room is a "project", right?
Anyone else run into stuff they didnt even know they had.

Ubuy brought out the ADHD in a lot of us. I bought 5 different things from them and definitely missed out on several things for lack of money or timing. At those prices though! These guys were nuts (in a good way). I still have a VHT 36 watt head halfway rebuilt. But fortunately the two amazing amps I bought from them (tweed clone and a UK carlsbro prototype 59 spirit) still get played semi-regularly even in times of Covid.

Haha... UBuy... Guitar Huggers... Those kinds of places were great for triggering frivolous impulse purchases. The kind where you say to yourself: "I don't need it, but it's so cheep... how can I not buy it??"

I still have an unfinished AXL LP-style guitar from UBuy that's been in my closet for 4 or 5 years. I doubt it'll ever get completed.
